Ask three questions before sharing.
Is it a City department, school district, library, nonprofit, newsroom, business, or anonymous account? Ownership helps you understand the source’s role and limits.
Label it accurately: announcement, allegation, agenda item, adopted decision, event listing, opinion, video, or reported story. These are not interchangeable.
Look for a publication date, meeting date, attached staff report, official link, named reporter, or direct statement. If the date is missing, keep the claim provisional.
For emergencies, service disruptions, elections, schedules, and active projects, identify the agency or record that can update the information.
